Candlelight

Happy Hanukkah! It is day six of Hanukkah, and I just learned of this great video by a group of students from Yeshiva University called The Maccabeats.

According to an AP story on KOMO News:

The Maccabeats’ “Candlelight” is sung to the tune of the pop song “Dynamite” by Taio Cruz, and features latkes, candles and a telling of the Hanukkah story. The video for the song has gotten well over 2 million views since its release about a week and a half ago.

I enjoy how this song celebrates latkes– love ’em, especially with my grandma’s homemade applesauce. Also, some in the Christian faith consider a kinship with the Jewish people to be very important– after all, one Yeshua of Nazareth, the founder of our faith, happens to be Jewish.
