Overnight the westerly winds blew in a smoky haze from Eastern Washington wildfires. It made for an unearthly sunrise this morning, the sun looking like a molten ball of lava rising over an alien landscape.
We had perfect weather here in the Seattle area today, beautiful sunny skies and about 82 degrees. But everything was veiled in this unnatural haze that made it look somewhat like when you forget your glasses. In a nutshell, it was beauty with a touch of ominous. Luscious, blazing, alien star in another galaxy, waking up in another life, apricot-grapefruit-saturated gorgeously smokescreen-filtered ominous.
C’est magnifique.
