Hamadryads in NNL?

Thanks to everyone who’s read and commented on my nostalgic Bigfoot in Never Never Land post, https://wildninja.wordpress.com/2011/05/27/bigfoot-in-never-never-land/. One commenter brought an interesting photo to my attention that they took around 1980. They thought they simply captured the woodland elves in the photo.

Here is the edited version first because the colors are truer to life:

But look at the picture as it actually appears, below.

Bah! The tree is watching you! You can clearly see three faces (and possibly more).

The photographer did not notice this until after the film was developed. I don’t remember these carvings but obviously they were there… If anyone recalls this aspect of Never Never Land or knows more about it, please feel free to comment.
