Earlier this week, one of my fellow writers on the Time’s Up crime victims advocacy blog, Anglican priest Charles Moncrief, posted a touching tribute to our veterans. While I read the article, I didn’t watch the video he posted along with it at the time.

But then I saw this video in church this morning, and had to hold back tears. Two of my three grandfathers served in the Navy in World War II, and I have a special respect for their generation, which is represented in this video. There are fewer and fewer of them left each day.

I realized after seeing this in church that this is the same video Moncrief posted a few days ago. I wish I would have watched it sooner. It’s worth four minutes of your time:
